Kelsey is a 2020 graduate of the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where she was a member of the University of Louisville Law Review.  Before attending law school, attorney Truxal attained a bachelor’s degree, and Master of Public Administration from Western Kentucky University.

Kelsey opened her own firm in rural Indiana before returning to academia as a professor, teaching undergraduate paralegal and political science courses.  She also serves as the Mock Trial coach at her university.

Attorney Truxal serves as Counsel at Shaw & Nelson, assisting with nonprofits, pro-bono work, and estate planning in Warren County.  She is licensed to practice in Indiana and Kentucky.
